She Did It

Well it's hard to believe, but she did it. We weren't sure if it was ever going to happen, especially with all this talk about being scared of the people in her poop, but she proved us wrong. And all on her own too! All I heard was Mommy, I've got to go poopie. And then, Mommy I did it. I went poop.

Woo-hoo! I think it was my most proudest moment as a Mommy. Just four more poops in the potty and Mickey Mouse here we come!

Ten on Tuesday

At Two and a Half

1. George is your favorite TV show and your favorite books to read

2. Your favorite movie is Mary Poppins

3. You love fruit: oranges, apples, plums, grapes, watermelon, strawberries, blackberries, raspberries, bananas, blueberries, pineapple, peaches, pears and grapefruit to name a few.

4. You have a baby boy in your belly (too)

5. You fly to Let's Go Fly a Kite every night before bedtime

6. You are strong willed (to say the least) and just prefer things your way...all the time

7. Nate is still your boyfriend

8. You love to sing and make up songs

9. You love to dress-up as a princess and make us a berry, berry hot dinner. I'm sure your Daddy wishes he would come home to me cooking (HA) in just high heels and a tutu, but it's far cuter on a two year old, I mean two and a half year old

10. Your Mommy and Daddy are still madly in love with you!

Ten on Tuesday

1. Kelsea turns two and a half tomorrow. Got to squeeze in a some picture taking tomorrow.

2. We are still potty training. She told me on Sunday that she is afraid of the people in her poop and that's why she doesn't go in the potty. Where in the world did she come up with that? Not even sure where to go from there...

3. We had a lovely weekend in Laguna Beach. The Bed and Breakfast we stayed at was fabulous, with a gourmet breakfast to die for. They also had a wine and cheese reception every evening. Hard to beat that, except for the being pregnant part and that I shouldn't drink wine (still had a few sips) and can't eat certain cheeses (I'm sure they were all fine). Here's the view from our room's patio.

4. Kelsea also had a lovely weekend at Grandma and Grandpa Love's house. In 48 hours, she baked cookies, went swimming in the pool, went to My Gym class, the Long Beach Aquarium, and to a party at a park where she got to paint her own jewelry box, toss water balloons and partake in her favorite park activity-swinging! Kelsea had so much fun that she had no interest in coming home with Mommy and Daddy. We had to pry her off my Mom's legs and trick her into getting into the car. Thankfully by the time we got her home, she liked us again (a little bit).

5. I have so many projects that I want to get done in the next 7 mos, but I'm too tired to even start any of them. I just don't remember being this tired with Kelsea. Oh well, maybe next month.

6. And eventually I knew I would get around to posting 4th of July pictures, so here they are:

This is what the wagon looks like before we head to the beach. Not an inch of space wasted! 7. Kelsea playing in the sand (in her patriotic bathing suit)
8. Kelsea opening Daddy's Birthday card. It talks!
9. Kelsea and Grandma Love watching Fireworks. What a trooper. She stayed up past 9:30 and was only a slight nightmare when putting her down for bed.
10. Actual proof that we did watch Fireworks (for the first time in 3 years)!

Our Anniversary Gift

We got the best present of all today. A strong heartbeat and a picture of our littlest love. The doctor said the baby was doing a headstand...must be all that yoga. Kelsea will get to hold her little brother or sister sometime in February.

Happy Anniversary hon. It's hard to believe it's been nine years already. Here's to us and our growing family. I love you always.

And a special anniversary wish to our dear friends Megan and Jeremiah who are also celebrating their 9th Anniversary!

Ten on Tuesday

1. Did I ever mention that Wallis and I went to a concert a couple weeks ago? We saw Rogue Wave and Death Cab for Cutie at the Nokia Theater. Quite a lovely evening we had with our friends...almost made us feel like we were in our twenties and dating again!

2. And next month we're going to see Jack Johnson at UCLA thanks to Stevie and Jennie!

3. Kelsea didn't want chechup (ketchup) tonight with her scrampled eggs. I thought for sure something must be terribly wrong with her, but the thermometer said 97 degrees?

4. Well since I'm at #4 I'll just mention we had a wonderful 4th of July/Wallis Birthday/Grandpa Steve Birthday Celebration, but you'll have to wait later this week for pictures.

5. Speaking of pictures, here's one of Adam and Kelsea at Adam's 3rd Birthday (ref. Flashback Friday). Wish I could post more pics but I forgot my camera. You'll have to check out Vivo Vuoso for more birthday photos.
6. Here's a couple pictures from Kelsea's play date with Anabelle. Kelsea met Anabelle at her My Gym class, and just ADORES her (in case you couldn't tell from the pictures)! We had a nice lunch with her parents, Michelle and Craig while they played all throughout their house.
7. Michelle and Craig talked about a little boutique hotel in Laguna Beach that they stayed at for their 15 year Anniversary this year, so guess where we're going this weekend? Yep, 9 years of marriage calls for a little celebration. Two nights, and two days just the two of us....on our schedule, now that's a little piece of heaven.

8. I think Kelsea is just as excited about staying at Grandma and Grandpa's house as we are. All she kept talking about tonight is swimming, making cookies, and going to see the fishies with Grandma and Grandpa. Hopefully she still feels that way when she wakes up from her nap on Friday to find Grandma there (and Mommy and Daddy on the road to relaxation).

9. I started two new books this week thanks to my friend J.J. See bookshelf on the right. After talking to my chiropractor and doing a lot of reading online I knew that for our next baby I wanted to opt out of some of the vaccines and spread them out over time. I was shocked to see how many doses of vaccines Kelsea was given in her first 18 mos (22 to be exact).

10. Ever since Kelsea started seeing my chiropractor two months ago she has not been sick. And coming from a girl that always had a cough or runny nose, this has been well worth the time and money! Plus she just loves Dr. Grace!
