Flashback Friday

Adam Vuoso's 3rd Birthday is this weekend. So here's a little flashback to what the kids looked like at his party last year. Check back later for post on this year's festivities.

I think Kelsea enjoyed the painting. A very brave activity Adam's Mama allowed in her driveway. Luckily the paint really is washable.

Capturing her Curls

Looks like the Laughrey gene won out over the Love gene, for as each month passes, Kelsea's hair gets curlier and curlier! We had quite a hot weekend (92 degrees at the BEACH), so the heat (and a bit of sweat) made quite a wild hairdo! Eventually I'll learn how to tame those crazy curls and make them all sit nice and pretty...

Ten on Tuesday

1. We had a lovely Father's Day. Wallis had a great round of golf with Rick Bolander, while Mama and Kelsea went to the Farmer's Market. Twenty minutes after putting Kelsea down for a nap, I heard Mommy, come on Mommy, it's time to go! I'm ready to go swimming at Gramma and Grampa's now. Moommmmyyyy. We gotta goooo! And 10 minutes after that she was sound asleep. So after a nice long nap, off we went to my parents to swim, watch a little golf, eat a little BBQ, and watch a little basketball.

2. Kelsea's new pool toy. Don't even dare come near her when she's in it. She needs NO help!
3. Jump!
4. Wallis hoping to turn Kelsea into an Olympic swimmer 5. Kelsea and Daddy watching the Lakers.
6. Kelsea then thought everyone should have a turn....
7. Hmmm, I see the resemblance
8. Isn't this sweet?
9. But this one is even better. Funny Grampa!
10. Happy Father's Day to my Daddy. We love you!
Happy Father's Day Grandpa Mike and Pop! We hope you had a wonderful day and love you very much. We're sending hugs and kisses your way!

Walk With Me, Daddy

Walk alongside me, Daddy
And hold my little hand.
I have so many things to learn
That I don't yet understand

Teach me things to keep me safe
from dangers everyday
Show me how to do my best
at home, at school and at play

Every child needs a gentle hand
To guide them as they grow.
So walk alongside me, Daddy
We have a long way to go.
Happy Father's Day, to the most beautiful husband and father!

XXOO,
Your Girls

Tubing in Texas

Here's some pictures of us kids tubing on the river, Texas style. Thanks Hennings for documenting this very important milestone for us.
A pretty view from below...although we could have been looking at a bunch of dirt and we'd still have had a blast. What beats laying out in the sun, on a river, & drinking beer with old friends?
The boys
I think I could get use to this...

Ten on Tuesday - Texas Edition

1. We are back from Texas and had a wonderful trip. So much so that Kelesea woke up crying the next day because Ava wasn't there. I think she was looking for one of these:
2. This is the beautiful deck that Wade and his Dad built. Muy impresionado!3. Paige making sure that Kelsea doesn't need a trip to the ER. She was quite a fan of that swing set.4. Who doesn't love to swing?
5. Or dance in their underwear?6. All around the mulberry bush,
The monkey chased the weasel;
The monkey thought 'twas all in fun,
Pop! goes the weasel.
7. Paige with her two adorable kids8. Oh the freedom to run barefoot and naked in the grass! 9. Still friends after all these years...
10. The girls with their girls:
It was so nice to see Polly's little girl Maren for the first time. She has the most infectious smile as you can tell from the picture above. All of us adults got plenty of time to catch up over a few hours of tubing down the river (with a cooler of beer of course). So nice to have adult fun and conversation without the little ones around!

We also took a trip to the San Antonio zoo, and spent several hours at the most amazing gym pool you will EVER go to.

Thanks Wade and Paige for a lovely time--hope we can do it again soon!
